"Now Shipping". You guys are such fibbing teases. I wish it was shipping... The order page still only allows to submit interests in the device. Last week of july, its either gonna happen or not. If its not, Just admit it.

Today is the last day of July...lets see what happens.
Hopefully they start the orders.

If its gonna happen today, it won't happen till 11:55pm, thats my guess. I feel like its not gonna happen at all. I just find it odd that there is no unboxing videos since it should have already shipped out to select developers. Valve Vive was only sent to select developers too, but within days youtube was lit up with unboxing videos from these devs. I'm guessing its not shipping at all to anyone.

Ms released win 10 2 days ago. took over a day to download the update. other win10 stuff like holo lens is said to released in the win10 timeframe which is july to oct of this year.

back to hdk. less then an hour left for july here at east coast america. Razer is located in cali, so for them its 8pm. im sure all the employees left for the weekend. so there will be no orders in july... just registering interest which is kind of silly. hate to sound bitchy but being promised june, then pushed to july then to let the month go without any word is pretty disrepectful to those who are waiting to get the kit. i can accept another delay, everyone wants a non glitchy device but we expect a bit of communication. I get theyre busy trying to get more partners, buying ouya then cleaning the mess left with their dev community but come on, does it hurt to post or tweet a sorry and short reason for the delay? is that to much to ask? has this become vaporware?

You can download it to an ISO and boot into the updater if you look into it, but that's the same as OSVR saying you can download the schematics and print it on a 3D printer/order the parts et cetera. It's a shrewd gating mechanism. It's August and the Windows 10 update app says it will be trickling out downloads over the course of weeks.

So I guess you can wait. But the lack of communication is an odd decision.

If you feel strongly about it you might tip some press outlets off to this. It seems newsworthy, especially with all of the big names attached to OSVR. It certainly looks like a sinking ship, or at least a ship with no hands on deck.

We are currently working on a release date and are aiming to get it into the mainstream dev market as soon as we can. As you rightly mentioned we have released the units to selected developers and are now working with them to get some fine tuning done so that we can get the best possible version of the HDK out there.
